*Not sure how to enter a prompt? Visit our LibGuide on Generative AI for Learning & Research for guidance on how to construct an effective prompt.
3. The Assistant will process your query with reference from Scite's data source and generate paragraph(s) with citations. You are always welcome to explore more by asking follow-up question(s) or clicking on the quoted reference(s) for more details.
You can alter the results and take control of the data sources used to process your query.
1. With the response from the Assistant shown, click on the Assistant Setting icon on the left.
2. With a pop-up window displayed, you can customize the criteria being used by the Assistant in processing your query. For instance, specifying the year range of references and publication types; limiting the source to the Scite database, a document uploaded from your computer, or materials in your dashboard only. Once you have all criteria updated, click Apply to refresh the answer.
3. You can also set the boundaries in the first place by selecting the Setting/Source option underneath the search field before submitting your prompt.
