The Scite browser extension adds Scite features to other websites. It shows citation counts and types for papers you are viewing. You can check facts and ask the Scite Assistant about claims in the text. It makes research easier by bringing Scite tools to where you are already reading.
Example: Google Chrome
1. At the top bar menu, click Product and Browser Extension.
2. You will be directed to the introductory page where a button linked to the web store is available.
3. Click to install.
4. You can pin the extension to your browser for quick access.
Example: Google Scholar
1. In Google Scholar, enter your search term(s).
2. In the result list, you will find the Scite Badge shown for publications that are within the Scite data source.
3. When you click on the title and view full text on the publisher's website, the Badge will also display on the right for quick reference.
4. If you would like to check on the citation details, click on the Badge and you will be directed to the publication's Scite report.
1. Highlight a sentence in a paragraph, right-click, and select "Ask scite.ai assistant".
2. You will be directed to the Assistant page with the highlighted text added to the query field. Feel free to edit or enter the query for Assistant to proceed.
